New Election Date
I have been informed that the new election date will be on Sept 21, 2014. Currently, there are 8 candidates for phase 1 and 8 candidates also for phase 3. The venue will be at SEV Ph 3 clubhouse.

2014-08-20 update
Lito is going around having the minutes of their meeting signed by both parties. In the document, it states there that the other party will withdraw their application in HLURB before the election (at least that's what I remember seeing. I will update this once I get a copy). According to Lito he went to Christian Yanga to have it signed but the latter refused to sign but instead put his mark just to acknowledged that he received the document. Lito also quoted that according to Mr. Yanga, their group will not participate in the election but will just wait for the results of the election and will decide on the withdrawal of their application in HLURB after seeing the election result.
Lito also told me that Mr. Boi Fantillanan is taking actions to resolve the issue with HLURB. More updates on this after I personally hear from Boi.

Update 2014-08-16
Early yesterday, Aug 16, I asked Lito who has filed their candidacy for the election since I am gathering candidate and need to know how much more do I need for each phase. He told me that there is one for phase 1 and the other one is from phase 3. I also told him that I only need a few candidates more to complete the 5x5 setup.
A little later after that he, Lito, went to visit me and told me that he informed Boi Fantillanan of what I'm doing. He also told me that Boi called Jonathan and told the latter that he has already a complete candidates for the election. According to Boi, Jonathan said something like "yung dating mukha pa rin yan". Boi also told Jonathan that they are open to the option that they will assign officers, picking equal number of representatives from both groups, to stand as interim officers up to December this year. He said that Jonathan like that idea and would support it.
Later in the afternoon, Boi called me and we talked about the the issue. In summary this are the things we talked about.
- He would support my move to continue gathering candidates for the election and would tell the other group that he would not push through with the idea of assigning interim officers.
- The election will be pushed back due to lack of candidates. No definite date has been set but he mentioned that it will be pushed back one more month. A month from when is a gray area.
- They are not in a hurry to create a HOA just to offload the resposibilities of Borland to Sta Elena to the would be officers.
- Regarding the withdrawal of the other group's application in HLURB, they (Borland) still has not encountered such a situation and are clueless as to how to resolved it. Every time I asked him about that (which I think is 4-5 times during our conversation because he would not give a straight answer every time I asked) He would always say that they are will have the other group sign an agreement to withdraw their application to HLURB before the election and they are hoping that the other group will comply. It is only after I've been rudely frank and demanded a straight answer that he admitted that they are clueless. However, he hinted that if such an event do occur they would get a petition where they would get the residents of Sta Elena to sign it and pass it to HLURB. They are hoping that their influence (since according to Boi, HLURB knows Borland) in HLURB would give them a favorable result.
This is for now and I am quite tired of convincing people to file their candidacy. This is my thinking, we all want an association formed to address the issues faced by our community. Why not help Borland kick this off by filing our candidacy. I for one do not expect to win, I just want to get this started so our community will move, whether forward or not it will be another issue we will face. For now we just need to take that little step to move forward (hopefully). We may and probably will encounter another issue but at least it's a new one. In my opinion that is better than facing the same problem over and over again and just grunt in the sideline.
Please help me convince more candidates, please, chebal, onigai shimasu...
